Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullaah, Jazakillaahu khair for sending this email, it resonated with me so much in pretty much everything you mentioned. My eldest is 9 and I only feel now that I'm getting back to what I envisioned for our homeschooling family. Maintaining the kids' natural love for learning is something I'm prioritising this year. Another key focus for us right now is returning to some basics without guilt or shame because rushing and "keeping up" was never something I wanted or ever want as a part of our homeschool! May Allaah grant my family, your family and the other readers success in the dunya and aakhirah, aameen.

Thank you so much for taking your time to reply. It means so much to me, knowing that someone reasonates with my struggles. I guess we all need constant reminders to keep oursleves grounded in our homeschooling journey. And Aameen to your do'a.

Hi just wondering how you balance it all and stay calm while teaching them or through their million questions … any hacks to have a nurturing and calm mind set I’m really beginning to struggle on this aspect and find my self wanting to finish the task at hand and they through it as fast as possible I feel terrible to say I’ve almost lost the joy and fear I’m ruining it for my children too

Hey there, Thank you for replying..I appreciate that. Anyways, I know that feeling. I've been there too, wanting to just get through it, feeling the joy slip away. For me, it helped to do less. Fewer tasks. Shorter lessons. More white space in the day. The calm came when I stopped trying to balance it all and started protecting what mattered most. May Allah grant us ease...

When you've done all you can

What your child actually needs from you

You weren’t meant to teach like they do

Am I doing enough?
